Help Celebrate Food Day 2011
Communities around the country are gearing up for the first annual Food Day, aimed at increasing public awareness about the importance of good food to health and economic prosperity. Food Day is set for Monday, October 24, 2011, and ORCCA is releasing an updated version of the Coos County Local Food Guide! More information can be found at http://foodday.org or orcca.us.

CERT Training
Are you prepared to help your family and community in the event of a disaster?
If not, there is still room to register for an upcoming Community Emergency Response Team Training in October and November. The cost of the Course is $35 and offers community education credits.
- October 29 - 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. Training in Emergency Preparedness, Disaster Psychology, Emergency Medical Operations
- October 30 - 8:30 am 3:00 pm. Training in Fire Science ans Safety, Search and Rescue, Terrorism and CERT, Shelter Operations
- November 5 - 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. Training in Incident Command System. We will hold a Disaster Drill and Review, Graduation and Award Certification.

Full-Day Associate Teacher position. 40 hours per week, full year. AA in ECE preferred, minimum of CDA required. EOE. If you are interested please contact Carla Fellows at the Head Start Administration office by Tuesday, October 25th at noon.
