CFRC Virtual Groundbreaking!
Oregon Coast Community Action is building a new facility that will provide services for children and families in our community, including Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms and a resource room for emergency services. Given the inclement weather, we are having a virtual ground breaking ceremony to celebrate the construction of this great new resource for the South Coast! Check out the video here!

Michelle Humiston enrolled in a case management program at ORCCA 4 years ago, and has now found herself full circle helping the very organization that helped her get back on her feet. New Equipment for Partner Agencies
With the support of the Oregon Food Bank's Network Support Fund, South Coast Food Share has been able to provide new equipment to 17 different partner agencies. Freezers, refrigerators and infrared thermometers were purchased through the first half of a grant with the Network Support Fund early this year. Read more about the appliances here!
Free water heaters
ORCCA would like to find new homes for 16 gently used water heaters. These 50 gallon electric water heaters are in fairly good condition and are free to anyone willing to pick one up. Call Don Beebe 541-297-1506 to arrange pick-up.
Kudos to Essential Services!
Dear John M. and Staff,
We would like to express our sincere appreciation for the new heating system Community Action has furnished for us in January. I don't know hat we would have done without this generous help, since Franklin suffered serious illness from the freezing cold weather we had in December. It is wonderful to be warm again, particularly at our age!
Please think Michelle C. especially for her helpful and kind willingness to 'go the extra mile (or should I say extra nine miles) for us. Also, our thanks to Rick O. and his crew from All-Weather Heating, they were so nice, very conscientious and professional.
We also thank you, John, for guiding us to other services that turned out to be extremely helpful in our struggle to stay independent and meet our many medical obligations. We send our deep gratitude.
Very sincerely yours,
Carol & Franklin T.
