Community Action Connect:  An Opportunity for Neighbors to Help Their Neighbors!

A single father of 3 is in need of a table with 4 chairs.  If you have a used one needing a new home, please call Jen S. at 888-7188.

"Wat'cha doin' on the weekend of Valentines Day?"  CASA hopes that you might stop by the Pony Village Mall and purchase some toys at the first ever TOY TALES sale.  There will be lots of gently used toys that you can buy for your little sweeties at prices that will be gentle on your wallet! If you would like to donate toys, educational materials, games, puzzles, sporting goods, etcŠthere is still time!  TOY TALES will be an ongoing fundraiser for CASA.  Donations can be dropped off at he SCFS warehouse, or call Becky Y. at 888-7436 to arrange a pick up.

A huge thanks to Raylene, Jody, and all the staff at Chetco Federal Credit Union in Bandon, for their second, donation of coats from their annual coat drive.  Several dozen coats, sweaters and shirts in good condition have made it into the lobby at the Newmark Center.  Free to anyone without any forms to fill out or permission to seek.  Thanks also to Mary from Macy's for the loan of the coat rack!

Kudos to all the volunteers who donated time and resources for the annual Homeless Count the last week of January.  We will soon be issuing a report on the results of that survey.

After Hours Event:  ORCCA will be hosting the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce's After Hours event on Wednesday, Feb. 25, from 5-7pm in the South Coast Food Share warehouse on the Southwestern Community College campus-across from the Rec Center.  Refreshments will be provided.  All ORCCA staff members are encouraged to attend this event to network with community members.  Board members are especially invited to attend tell members of the community about ORCCA.

Volunteers for South Coast Food Share and other Oregon Coast Community Action programs have increased by 140%, with nearly double the volunteers working with ORCCA's programs this last year!  ORCCA appreciates its volunteers!
