My power bill is in another person’s name. What should I do about this?

If that person no longer lives at the address on the account, call your power company and make arrangements to have the name changed on the account. In the meantime, when you come to your appointment, bring a letter from the person whose name is on the account authorizing you to act on that persons behalf at the Energy Services Division of Oregon Coast Community Action.

Please note that federal regulations will come into effect later this year that will require us to only serve the person whose name is on an account. A spouse, a parent, a roommate, a caregiver, or anyone else who does not have power of attorney for the account holder will not receive service, even with an authorizing letter.
