Event Description
Beginning on July 4th, the Bay Area community will have an opportunity to participate in the second annual Dinner & A Movie – a fundraising event dedicated to helping feed hungry families in Coos and Curry counties. Hosted by Oregon Coast Community Action, Dinner & A Movie is a week long fundraising activity that will feature 12 local restaurants and include a showing of the movie Pay It Forward at the Egyptian Theatre on Friday, July 10th.The entire community can participate simply by eating at one of the 12 participating restaurants! A percentage of every plate ordered will go toward making sure no child or struggling family will fight hunger alone.

In recognition of July 4 – 11 as South Coast Hunger Awareness Week, the Dinner & A Movie event will benefit the South Coast Food Share, a program of Oregon Coast Community Action, and help feed the hungry in Coos and Curry counties.
Movie tickets will be available for pre-sale $5 each at Porta, North Bend Lanes, Sozo Tea, Java Jones, Books by the Bay, Oregon Wine Cellars and the Egyptian Theatre.
