On behalf of the children and families of Reedsport, I want to offer my sincerest thanks to the Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation for their support and partnership in nurturing the children in our community. Great Afternoons recently received $10,000 in grant funds to supplement our operating expenses, and help supply the Great Beginnings infant and toddler program with new equipment. The grant we received will be used to purchase much needed cribs, mats, strollers and toys for the 18 infants and toddlers we now serve in our expanded two-classroom site. The funding will also be used to pay part of the salary for the additional aide in this much-needed expansion. The Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation has been a long time supporter of Great Afternoons, including a $1,00 contribution in late 2010. My sincerest thanks for helping our kids thrive!
