Letter to the Editor - Hunger Action Month

E-mail Print PDF
On behalf of hungry children and families on the South Coast, I want to thank our community partners and the public for supporting Hunger Action Month activities and fundraisers. Highlights included “Eat Drink Share,” the Bay Area Fun Fest Parade, and the “Rock for Food” benefit concert. The activities generated over $1,600 in funds, 200 pounds of food, and helped raise awareness about hunger issues on the South Coast. A big thanks to “Eat Drink Share” restaurants and owners, including Mama Mias, Porta, La Costa, and Momijis. Also, kudos to the volunteers who represented South Coast Food in the Bay Area Fun Fest parade, and to Walt's Pourhouse and Hookah Stew who presented Rock for Food. Hunger Action Month activities successfully helped ensure everyone on the South Coast has enough to eat.

Sincerely,
Rollie Lobsinger
Director of South Coast Food Share
