South Coast Head Start
This program serves over 360 three and four year old children in Coos and Curry Counties by providing a comprehensive preschool experience and social services for the entire family.

CASA of Coos County
The Court Appointed Special Advocate Program provides a volunteer to serve as an advocate for a child in State custody through out the legal process in Coos County Oregon.

Great Afternoons and Beginnings
Located in Reedsport, this program provides childcare, pre-school, afterschool enrichment, and year-round classes, clubs and activities for ages 3 to 12, and infant care for ages 6 weeks to 36 months.

Essential Services |

South Coast Food Share
A member of Oregon Food Bank and the regional food bank for Coos and Curry counties. It is a network of individuals, programs and over 30 local food pantries and meal sites committed to the belief that no one should be hungry. The Share Bear Snack Pack program is dedicated to serving hungry children in Coos, Curry and Western Douglas counties.

Housing
Includes affordable housing units located in Coos Bay, listings of available rentals, housing counseling, and emergency rental assistance including deposits.

Energy
Provides support to help households deal with increasing energy costs both in payments and methods to lower energy usage, including the weatherization of over 100 homes a year.

Medical
Community members can receive assistance obtaining health and/ or federal benefits. Our Health Benefits Specialist can assist eligible clients in applying for Social Security, Presumptive Medical, OHP or Healthy Kids.

Community Action Connect
An initiative providing a way for neighbors to help neighbors! Contributions of volunteer time, specific items and money from community businesses and donors are used to create a brighter future for the most vulnerable families in our region.

Youth Oportunities
Youth Opportunities gives children and teenagers a way to help their community and have fun doing it! We have multiple opportunities for local youth to get involved, from grade school students donating toys and writing adventure stories for Toy Tales, all the way to college students and graduates volunteering through the national service agency AmeriCorps.
