RECALL NOTICE

Kellogg's Cereal Recall

July 1, 2010
OFB will be suspending the allocation and distribution of 0220 Cereal Asst., and 4002 Fresh Alliance Dry Products until staff can go through our existing stock.

Local Agency Instructions:

1. As soon as you receive this notice respond to South Coast Food Share and indicate that you are aware of the recall.
2. Check your inventory for any of the products listed above count them and place them containers that are labeled FOOD RECALL DO NOT DISTRIBUTE.
3. Keep all recalled food products at your LA agency until you receive instructions on how to dispose of them.  DO NOT, discard or destroy these products!
4. Be prepared to respond to additional instructions as the recall proceeds.

BACK UP MATERIAL

Only products with the letters "KN" following the Better If Used Before Date are included in the recall. Products with a "KM" designation are NOT included in the recall. In addition, no products in Canada are affected.

While the potential for serious health problems is low, some consumers are sensitive to the uncharacteristic off-flavor and smell and should not eat the recalled products because of possible temporary symptoms, including nausea and diarrhea.
