Hi everyone… last week I had the opportunity to attend a meeting at Java Jones in Empire. They have a terrific place with a nice atmosphere and good food. Laurie Moore from Java Jones tells me that they do a lot for their neighbors including; running tabs for those in need, feeding children before school, provide an outlet for those with talents that need a place to express it and let counselors use their spare
room free of charge.
Ms. Moore also told me that last winter a couple, that was homeless, was lucky enough to find an apartment but had nothing to put in it. As a group within Java coffee house they gathered together furniture, pots and pans, food to help get them started and helped them move in to their new home.
This Coffee House is a wonderful demonstration of a community-gathering place for all! Please consider stopping by and thanking them for the things they do everyday! Oh and buy a latté… they are wonderful.

Have you worn your red nose today?
Mary
