Current Board Members

Sam Baugh, Board Memeber Samuel Baugh has an MBA from Westminster College and is the Community Engagement Manager for Advanced Health. Mr. Baugh has over 15 years' experience working in government and Non-Profit settings and has a passion for improving the quality of life in his community. He has been married to his wife, Andrea, for over 20 years, has 3 children, and has been a Certified Resource (Foster) Parent and is currently doing respite care when needed.

Raymond Ahumada, Board Member Head Start Policy Council Representative Raymond Ahumada has lived in Bandon for the past eight years now but is originally from Arizona. Raymonda is a proud father of nine children and is excited to help in our community any way he can.

Reverend Don Ford, Board Member Don joined the board in the Summer of 2021. He earned a BA in PE and Math from the University of the Redlands and was voted into the University's Hall of Fame for Football and Track and Field. He has served his community as a pastor for 29 years, and his strong values and ethical sentiments have translated into a commitment towards synergy and teamwork between all agencies.

Interested in joining our board?
Oregon Coast Community Action is looking for members of the community to serve on our Board of Directors. We are looking for members that represent at least one of the below 6 categories:
Tripartite Board Composition
-
Elected public officials (or their designees), holding office on the date of selection.
-
Representatives of low-income individuals or families in the communities we serve.
-
Officials or members of business, industry, labor, religious, law enforcement, education, or other major groups in the communities we serve.
Pursuant to the Head Start Act
-
Background or expertise in fiscal management or accounting.

Background or expertise in Early Childhood Education and Development.

A licensed attorney familiar with issues that come before the governing body.
No members of our board may be current employees of ORCCA or one of our programs. Each member of our board must reside in either Coos, Curry, or Western Douglas County. No members of our board may be party to a transaction with ORCCA or stand to benefit from it financially. No members of our board may be family members of one of our employees or other board members. "Family Member" is defined as; Spouse, Domestic Partner, Parent, Child, Sibling, In-Law, Grandparent, or Grandchild. Just because an applicant applies to be on or board of directors, does not mean they will be voted on as a serving member.
