When a child enters foster care because of abuse or neglect, their world turns upside down. They’re assigned a caseworker, an attorney, and sometimes a therapist—but all of those professionals are juggling dozens, even hundreds of cases.

That’s where CASA comes in.

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) are trained volunteers who are assigned to just one child—or one sibling group—at a time. They visit regularly, get to know the child deeply, and advocate for what’s best for them in court, at school, and in life.

But without funding, many children go without a CASA—and without someone solely dedicated to their best interests.
