Bring your family to Octoberfish on Saturday, Oct. 9 from 12 to 6 p.m. at the Old Charleston School on Seven Devils Road in Charleston. This family-oriented event will feature food prepared by the Tuna Guys, fun games for children, an apple cider press, a beer and wine garden by the High Tide Café, and live music all afternoon! Admission is $1. Food and tickets for some activities are sold separately.
Local musicians providing entertainment include: Alexius Harris, Che’s Lounge, Idyl Time, The Dale Inskeep Band, and Los Panchos. There will also be belly dance and West African drumming and dance performances.
This event is sponsored by a number of organizations: Oregon Coast Community Action, South Slough Reserve, SolCoast Companies, The GUILD, Charleston Community Enhancement Corp., the Tuna Guys, local fishermen and volunteers. Money raised from the event will go to support ORCCA’s Children and Youth programs. These programs serve thousands of young people in both Coos and Curry counties. The funds raised from this event will help ensure that children, and their families, thrive!
