Head Start Policy Council

Serving on Policy Council is an exciting way to participate in the South Coast Head Start program. Policy Council includes parent leaders from each class and service area. The Policy Council works closely with the Director and other staff on a variety of important program planning activities, including the annual program self-assessment. Policy Council representatives serve one year from November to November. Members are provided training in the fall and may have opportunities to attend additional leadership training's throughout the year. The Policy Council meets once a month to discuss program business and to share information about program and site activities. Be sure to talk to your teacher, Home Visitor, or Family Engagement Specialist about this exciting opportunity!!
