Supportive Services for Veteran Families

Oregon Coast Community Action (ORCCA) provides Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) to help eligible veterans and their families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness achieve housing stability.

SSVF focuses on housing stability through case management, referrals, and limited financial assistance when available.

How to Apply

All veterans must apply through ORCCA’s General Housing Services first.

This allows ORCCA to:

  • Complete a single housing intake

  • Screen for all available housing resources

  • Refer eligible households to SSVF when veteran eligibility is confirmed

Be sure to indicate veteran status on the Housing Application or during your Housing Assessment.

Who May Qualify

Veteran households may be considered for SSVF if they:

  • Include at least one eligible veteran (per VA guidelines)

  • Are homeless or at risk of homelessness

  • Have a household income at or below 80% of Area Median Income (AMI) for Coos or Curry County

  • Meet additional SSVF and funding requirements

Meeting eligibility criteria does not guarantee financial assistance.

Services That May Be Available

Depending on eligibility and funding availability, SSVF may provide:

  • Housing-focused case management

  • Referrals to community services

  • Limited short-term rental or deposit assistance

  • Housing placement support

All assistance is time-limited and based on program guidelines.
